The 2019 Wyoming Safety and Workforce Summit on July 9, 2019, will feature an inspirational keynote speaker and 40 breakout sessions on Workforce, Safety, and Transportation related topics. Workforce sessions will include Blockchain 101, Broadband Expansion, Next Generation Sector Partnership Overview, Small Business Best Practices, and more. Safety sessions will include an ATV safety live demo, Opioid Use in the Workplace, Working with OSHA Consultation, What to Know if You’re Visited by OSHA, and many others. WYDOT sessions include Traffic Safety in Rural Wyoming, Federal Motorcarrier Safety Regulations, a K-9 demonstration, and others.
The second day will be dedicated to hands-on safety training courses, including trenching and excavating, silica safety and a crash simulator.
Wyoming’s top employers and workers demonstrating a strong safety culture and excellence in safety and health programs will also be honored with the Stop Work Authority and Safety Awards. Awards include the Mining and Mine Site Contractor awards, OSHA General Industry awards, Path to Safety Excellence, Veteran-Friendly Employer of the Year, Youth-Friendly Employer of the Year, and Small and Large Employer of the Year awards.
