WOGISA Member Spotlight- Sid Miller (Rockies Regional Trainer, Stallion Oilfield Services)
Sid Miller attended college in 1970 in New Mexico, after which time he worked as a member of the Boilermakers and Iron Workers Unions. Following several nationwide iron-work projects, he returned to the oil and gas fields of Wyoming in 1976. He has worked most of his adult life in the oil and gas industry, in Wyoming and neighboring states.
He sat on former Governor Dave Freudenthal’s Work Place Fatality Task Force on the Oil & Gas Subcommittee in 2009 through 2010. The subcommittee was instrumental in starting the Wyoming Oil and Gas Industry Safety Alliance (WOGISA). Sid worked with WOGISA on the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Regulatory Committees helping WOGISA and Wyoming OSHA with the Wyoming Oil and Gas Rules and Regulations review. He was assigned to a WOGISA Board of Directors position in 2014, and completed the term previously held by Rob Wheeler. Sid ran for and was reelected to fill a WOGISA Board position from 2015 through 2017. He currently serves on the Wyoming Workforce Development Council until 2022.
